A few years ago I was pleased to work on an Australian project where videoconferencing was used for the early detection and treatment of stroke victims, thus saving lives.

I was interested to read this week about a US telestroke project where videoconferencing is being used to provide life-saving stroke care to patients that reside in less populated areas of Louisiana.
